Construction Confined Space Training

Our Construction Confined Space Training is designed to ensure that all staff are trained to the highest possible standard and are able to deal with any emergency rescue scenario that may arise. We will carry out an initial risk assessment on your site to determine the level of risk, aiding us in deciding what level and type of training your Construction Confined Space team will require to safely carry out any rescues.

The construction occupation often involves tasks being conducted in confined space environments, therefore it is important workers are trained accordingly.

Confined Spaces do not have to be small, dark, narrow areas full of gas or fumes. A confined space can vary in size and risk as stated by the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997; the definition of a confined space is any place including any chamber, tank, vat, silo, pit, trench, pipe, sewer, flue, well or similar place in which by virtue of its enclosed nature, there arises a reasonably foreseeable specified risk.

WHAT DOES OUR CONSTRUCTION CONFINED SPACE TRAINING COVER?

In each Construction Confined Space training session, to begin with we provide a full risk assessment to decide what the level of risk is to any personnel entering the confined space. We will then provide all the relevant equipment that will be required to carry out the rescue and we will then monitor all personnel entering and exiting the space, ensuring all those entering are trained and qualified to the necessary level. With any confined space rescue attempt, the most important thing is to ensure there is sufficient levels of planning being carried out before beginning the process, this means that any potential risks are noted beforehand allowing for a plan to be created on how to deal with these risks prior to it causing an issue. This ensures the safety of the entire team and will prevent any unexpected issues arising.

WHAT WILL BE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES?

Every individual taking part in the course will leave with the knowledge to deal with any high risk confined space entry in a construction environment. Our Construction Confined Space Training will ensure each team member can enter and exit a confined space safely, whilst using the correct methods for working in a confined space and dealing with any emergencies that may arise whilst working in a construction environment. They will also have the knowledge to follow industry standard health and safety protocols, for example preparing and using the appropriate breathing apparatus when working in the high risk space. The most important aspect when you have a team working within a confined space is to provide to them the knowledge to confidently carry out the work as well as how to rectify any issues that may arise.

We employ a team of trainers that are highly experienced and hold a range of qualifications such as: Fire and Rescue training, Oxygen Administration, Automated External Defibrillation and IOSH managing safety. All of these will enable your team to be safe in the knowledge that the training will be delivered to the highest standard by qualified industry professionals.
